confessions

Blog post inspired by Allison.

Sometimes before we leave the house I strap both kids in the car in the driveway, turn the AC on, and then finish cleaning up the house.  Sometimes they sit in the car for 10-20 minutes before we actually leave the house.  (Don't worry, I check on them VERY periodically.)

Yesterday, I was going to try to start my week of no caffeine (as planned on my 30 before 30 list), but then 7 AM happened.  I have had about five cups of coffee since then.  Maybe next week?

I have been known to laugh at my own blog posts.  And then read and re-read them over and over.  And then laugh to myself later on when I think about something I wrote.  Yeah, I guess I think I'm hilarious.

Yesterday, I wasn't sure if Sam was actually tired, but I really needed a nap, so I just stuck him in his crib with a bottle and called it a night... I turned up the noise machine and turned off the baby monitor so I could get some good ol' shut-eye.  When I woke up he was asleep.  Mission accomplished?

Earlier this year, I backed up into a car in the Mr. Gatti's parking lot.  This is actually two confessions - one, we were ordering pizza from Mr. Gatti's. Two, I hit a car.  No worries, we went inside and told the man we hit his car, and he didn't even care... he let us go.  Third confession, we gave him a $25 visa gift card that we already had in my wallet... we would have given him the $75 one, except it said "Merry Christmas Matt and Leah" on it.  Also, Matt reminded me of this incident when I was hassling him about rolling through the stop sign... and (fourth confession) I had almost completely forgotten about it.

There are more where this came from, but I'll leave it at this for now...  Thanks for the inspiration, Allison!
