how NOT to read the Bible

I was reading my daily chapter of Proverbs yesterday and came across this verse:

"It is better to live in a corner of the roof than in a house shared with a contentious woman." (Proverbs 25:24)

Immediate thought: "Good thing I'm not a dude; I don't have to worry about living with a contentious woman...or in a corner of the roof for that matter..."

After God's intervention: "...on second thought, maybe I should see to it that Matt doesn't have to live with a contentious woman."

Hmm. Perhaps.
